George Martin is a Partner at Alternative Investment Analytics, LLC. He is also an Associate Director of the Center for International Securities and Derivatives Markets (CISDM) at the University of Massachusetts; a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Alternative Investments; and a member of the Advisory Board of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association. Previously, he was Research Fellow at the Brookings Institution. He is the author of numerous publications in the area of alternative investments, and is frequently called upon to address audiences on the subject of alternative investments. He received a B.A. and M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University.

Richard Spurgin, Ph.D., is a Partner at Alternative Investment Analytics, LLC. He has been Associate Professor of Finance at Clark University since 1995. He is also Associate Director of the Center for International Securities and Derivatives Markets at the University of Massachusetts. He was previously employed by Technical Data in Boston. As Director of Fixed-Income Research, he was responsible for producing technical and quantitative research on U.S. Treasury and fixed-income markets. He was a founding member of the index committee for the LMEX, a metals index sponsored by the London Metals Exchange (LME). He has a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, and a B.A. from Dartmouth.

William Spurgin is a Partner at Alternative Investment Analytics. His responsibilities include research on new products as well as marketing and client support. He was employed by Xenon Capital Management, a systematic commodity trading advisor, from 2002 to 2007, the final two years as Director or Research. At Xenon he developed and implemented trading strategies and dynamic asset allocation models. Mr. Spurgin is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Finance at the University of Massachusetts. He received an MS in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Physics from Carleton College.
